Police lifted Surat Singh Khalsa from his residence, lathi charge on media

LUDHIANA: The police reportedly today afternoon forcibly picked up Surat Singh Khals from his residence in village Hasanpur and took him away to som undisclosed place. The police also used force to disperse his supporters. Many persons including media persons were injured. More details awaited.

A video has surfaced online that shows how the Government Investigative Teams misinformed the police on Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. While senior police officials were in talks with the 82 year hunger striker, the Punjab Government sent a team from a different district to raid Bapu Surat Singh’s house.
“How can they send a team from outside to force upon people here,” says the ADCP as he looks ashamed and helpless.“CID teams are giving wrong reports compared to what we have seen,” confirms SSP Brar.As Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s house was raided today and over a dozen of his supporters were arrested, including members of the press.
