The SSP Moga Charandip Singh who ordered firing was confident of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. Sukhbir had picked him to post him in Faridkot and later shifted him to Moga. It is suspected that Charanjit Sharma followed the orders of Dewputy Chief Minister who is also home minister.
