Protesting Haryana Congress workers court arrest in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, March 7 : Protesting Haryana Congress workers courted arrest on Tuesday as they were on their way to gheraoing the state assembly against the alleged land scams in Gurugram, including the Gwal Pahari and Metro diversion issues.   Earlier, Congress workers gathered near the Multi-Level Parking in Sector 17 here. Chandigarh Police stopped them near the Rose Garden.
Police first used mild force to disperse the protesting Congress workers; when they refused to relent, the police brought buses and took them in custody.
