One killed, dozen passengers injured in bus-tipper collission

HOSHIARPUR: One person was killed and about a dozen bus passengers were seriously injured when a private bus belonging to Kartar Bus Service collided with a tipper on Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road this morning.The accident was so severe that the roof of the bus was ripped away and passengers were tossed in the air. The bus started from Jalandhar bus stand at 8.15 AM and it met with an accident near Sonalika tractor factory at 9 AM.Two of the critically passengers have been referred to PGI Chandigarh. The Kartat Bus Company is owned by former Congress minsiter Avtar Singh Henry.
