Punjab CM appoints seven more CPC’s, Bolaria dropped

CHANDIGARH : In a bid to appease Akali and BJP MLAs, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today appointed seven more Chief Parliamentary Secretaries(CPCs), five from SAD and two from BJP. Estranged Akali MLA from Amritsar Inderbir Singh Bolaria has been dropped from post of CPC.
A government press release said, “On the recommendations of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, the Punjab Governor Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki today gave his approval for the induction of seven new MLAs as Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPSs)”. Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of CMO said that the seven new MLAs to be inducted as CPS would include Mr. Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, Mr. Manjit Singh Mianwind, Mr. Darshan Singh Shivalik, Mr. Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Mr. Pargat Singh, Smt. Sukhjeet Kaur Sahi and Smt. Seema Kumari. However, the Governor also accorded approval to drop MLA Mr. Inderbir Singh Bolaria form the post of CPS.
