Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal admitted in PGI due to respiratory problem

CHANDIGARH: Punjab hief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has been admitted in ICU of PGI Chandigarh after he developed respiratory problem on Friday evening after holding a Sangat Darshan Programme at Urapar near Nawanshehar. Badal while returning to Chandigarh complained of breathing problem. He was rushed to a private hospital in Nawanshehar from where he was taken to PGI Chandigarh. He was given steam treatment due to chest congestion by doctors at Nawashehar hospital.
Dr. D Behra Pulmonary medicine department attended on Badal. He is being looked after by the doctors in ICU at third floor of PGI. There is no official bulletin on the health of Badal. Badal is 85 year old and became Chief Minister of Punjab for the fifth term.
