Punjab Congress offerred bangles to Sukhbir Badal, police cane charged to disperse mob

LUDHIANA: Punjab Congress worked led by CLP leader Charanjit Singh Channi and Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu who went to Deputy Commissioner office here to offer bangles for Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal were cane charged and police used water canon to disperse them. Congress leaders were protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and inaction by Sukhbir Singh Badal who also holds home portfolio. Bittu while addressing the workers said that organised gangs of criminals were operating and roaming freely in Punjab. he said that law and order in the state was at its worst and SAD-BJP government led by Parkash Singh Badal is mute spectator to incidents of violence against common people. He said that nobody feels free and it is dangerous to move out of house after the darkness. He alleged that Sukhbir Singh Badal and other ruling party leaders are patronising the criminals.
