Punjab Congress to offer legal help to the victims of Hoshiarpur Land Scam: Channi

HOSHIARPUR : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee will give legal aid to all the affected victims of the Piplanwala Land scam, which was unearthed recently, in which more than 100 crores were minted by few Akali leaders by grabbing the land of common people.
Visiting the village today, Charanjit Singh Channi, Leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, alongwith Sham Sunder Arora, MLA Hoshiarpur, met the affected victims and listened to their grievances. The people told the CLP leader that how they were made fools by the politically influenced politicians of the Shiromani Akali Dal Badal. S Channi assured the victims of every help from the Punjab congress party. He also appealed to the chief justice of Punjab Haryana High Court to take Suo Motto of this land scam in order to give justice to the aggrieved people. Channi also released the name and numbers of ten lawyers alongwith their mobile numbers who will offer the legal aid to the victims. He also suspected the involvement of senior leadership of BJP from Hoshiarpur in this scam.Lambasting on the SAD BJP leaders for their corrupt practices, S Channi said that the congress party doesn’t have any faith in the inquiry being done by the state government as they are in habit of covering up the matter and saving the culprits. The case should be immediately handed over to CBI for investigation and criminal cases should be registered against all the Akali Leaders who are involved in this scam and they should be arrested. The government officials who are involved should be terminated and criminal cases should be slapped on them also.
