Punjab: SAD MLA and former Hockey Team captain Pargat Singh suspended by Sukhbir Singh Badal; likely to join AAP

Chandigarh : The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Punjab has suspended party MLA Pargat Singh. Along with him, another SAD legislator Inderbir Singh Bolaria has also been shown the doors. The decision to suspend them was taken by SAD president and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. Both the leaders are expected to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).Both Pargat and Inderbir were accused of indulging in anti-party activities. The announcement was made following a high-level meeting between the senior party leaders. SAD spokesperson Daljit Singh Cheema claimed that both the MLAs had repeatedly provoked the party by making irresponsible statements in the public.
