Punjab transfers 19 IAS officers; Moga gets new Deputy Commissioner

Chandigarh, May 13 : The Punjab government on Saturday transferred 19 IAS and 43 PCS officers and issued them new postings. Though a list of PCS officers had been prepared for their new postings almost a month ago, different lobbies, including the Congress MLAs in the new political dispensation, were lobbying for postings of their “men” in different districts.
Congress MLAs had even met Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh with “complaints” that they had no say in getting the SDMs appointed in their own constituencies.
Dilraj Singh has been appointed the Moga Deputy Commissioner, replacing Praveen Kumar Thind, who has been posted as Special Secretary and Director, Technical Education.
While eight districts–Ludhiana, Tarn Taran, Barnala, Muktsar, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur and Ferozepur–get new Additional Deputy Commissioners (Surbhi Malik, Bakhtaran Singh, Arvind Pal Singh Sandhu, Vimal Kumar Setia, Showkat Ahmad Parray, Ranjit Kaur, Uphar Singh, Anupam Kler, respectively),  22 blocks have got new SDMs.The newly appointed SDMs are: Komal Mittal at Mukerian, Amrit Singh at Nakodar, Jaspreet Singh at Amloh, Subhash Chander at Jalandhar II, Gurjit Singh at Batala, Harcharan Singh at SBS Nagar, Amit Bamby at Samrala, Mandeep Kaur at Jaito, Anmol Singh Dhaliwal at Patiala, Rajat Oberoi at Barnala, Lovejeet Kalsi at Patti, Amit at Pathankot, Damanjit Singh Mann at Ludhiana West, Surinder Singh at Dharkalan, Paramjit Singh at Bhawanigarh, Sanjeev Kumar at Rajpura, Narinder Singh at Talwandi Sabo, Jashanpreet Kaur Gill at Payal, Geetika Singh at Nabha, Manjit Singh Cheema at Samana, Arvind Kumar at Bassi Pathana and Subhash Chander Khatak at Rampura Phul.
