RCA election: Cong leader CP Joshi beats Lalit Modi’s son

Jaipur : Veteran Congress leader CP Joshi won the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) elections in a closely contest battle, election officers announced on Friday.
Joshi beat Ruchir Modi, son of former Indian Premier League Chairman Lalit Modi — who found himself embroiled in corruption scandals in the popular tournament and left the country in 2010 – by five votes. Elections were held on Monday.Joshi won 19 against Ruchir’s 14 votes of all cricket associations in the district, AK Pandey, Election Officer, and Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, Ombudsman, announced on Friday.Joshi’s team won in four of the six seats in the elections. Mohammed Iqbal was elected Vice-President, and Krishan Kumar Nimawat was voted to the position of an executive member.From Modi’s team, RS Nandhu was elected to the position secretary and Pinkesh Kuma Jain the treasurer.
