Ryan International School Reopens After 10 Days, Gurgaon DC as Administrator

New Delhi, September 18 : The Ryan International School in Gurugram reopened on Monday, 10 days after after the murder of Class 2 student Pradyuman Thakur in its premise. The Gurgaon deputy commissioner takes over as administrator of the institution. But Pradyuman’s father Varun Chandra Thakur is disappointed with the reopening of the school as he believed that the administration will erase all evidence about the case. On Friday, the Haryana government had announced that it would be taking over the school management for three months until the situation normalises. The government had also ordered a CBI probe into the murder. “As per orders of directorate of school education, DC will join as administrator of the school on Monday and school will open on normal basis,” an official spokesperson said, the Hindustan Times reported. On September 8, Pradyuman was found with his throat slit in the washroom of the school in the Bhondsi on the Sohna road. A bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, has been arrested in connection with the case. “Pradyuman’s father on Sunday expressed the concern that the reopening of the school will erase all the evidences related to the case. This will also have direct consequences on the CBI’s investigation,” Thakur’s lawyer Susheel Tekriwala said.
