SAD makes Simranjit Singh Mann tool to attack Congress on Sarbat Khalsa

CHANDIGARH: The statement made by radical Sikh leader Simranjit Singh Mann that Sarbat Khalsa was a Khalistan platform and everybody knew it, has given an opportunity to the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to attack Congress party, blaming it for supporting anti-national elements. Mann had not addressed the Sarbat Khalsa himself probably to avoid sedition case against him.The SAD taking leaf from the Mann’s statement said, the new revelations proved that Punjab Congress leaders had participated and supported the so called Sarbat Khalsa of November 10 despite knowing that it was a Khalistani stage.SAD leader Maheshinder Singh Grewal said the statement by SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann that all leaders attending the Sarbat Khalsa knew that it was a Khalistani stage had exposed the lies of Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa. He said Bajwa had been claiming all along that Congress leaders Ramanjit Sikki and Inderjit Zira did not know the intentions of the organizers and that the resolutions had taken them by surprise. The SAD leader said it was now apparent that the organizers of the November 10 gathering had discussed the resolutions with the Congress leaders. He said this had also become clear from tapes on the social media in which both Lalli Majithia and Harminder Gill even gave advice to the organizers on the resolutions which should be adopted. “An interview of Mr Simranjit Singh Mann has made it clear that one of the organizers of the congregation – Satnam Singh Manawa, with whom both Congress leaders conversed on the issue of resolutions, was a neighbor of Harminder Gill”.
