Sarbat Khalsa decides to set up World Sikh Parliament, to struggle for Sikh Raj

AMRITSAR: Ther Sarbat Khalsa held by radical Sikh organisations at Chabba vilalge near here today has announced to continue struggle for Sikh Raj and constitute World Sikh Parliament, the draft of which will be approved by Sarbat Khalsa to be held on Baisakhi in 2016.
A committee to prepare draft of Sikh Parliament will be constituted before November 30, 2015. The Sikh congregation said that year 1947 was horrible for Sikhs when the partition of India was done. It said that in the last 68 years proved terrible for the Sikhs.
The Sarbat Khalsa has also demanded to hold fresh elections of Shiromani Gurdawara Parbhandak Committee(SGPC) which has completed its term. The congregation advocated need for separate calender for Sikhs since the Nanakshahi calnder earlier approved by SGPC has been amended and distorted.
The Sarbat Khalsa through another resolution sought to close caste based Gurdawaras and cremation grounds in Punjab villages and develop a caste less Sikh Society. The congregation also demanded release of all Sikh prisoners who have completed their sentence. The resolution said that if anything happens to Bapu Surat Singh, on fast unto death for release of farmers, the Punjab Government would be responsible.
The Sarbat Khalsa expressed serious concern over incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and demanded punishment for the culprits as per Panthic traditions. The congregation said a deep rooted conspiracy was hatched to hurt the sentiments of Sikhs.
The Sarbat Khalsa also approved resolutions passed by last Sarbat Khalsa held on January 26, 1986.
In other important decisions the Sarbat Khalsa has also removed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh and three other Jathedars Bhai Gurmukh Singh of Takht Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo, Giani Mal Singh of Takht Damdama Sahib Anandpur Sahib and Giani Iqbal Singh Jathedar of Takht Patna Sahib.
The Sarbat Khalsa has also appointed Babbar Khalsa militant Jagtar Singh Hawara, a life convict in Beant Singh assassination case now lodged in Tihar Jail of Delhi. In his absence another former militant Dhian Singh Mand head of Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) was appointed acting Jathedar of Akal Takht. Mand however immediately announced his resignation from the Shiromani Akali Dal(Mann) and announced retirement from active politics.
