Sucha Singh Chhotepur likely to head new party of rebels ‘AAP Punjab’

CHANDIGARH : Sucha Singh Chhotepur who was yesterday removed from the post of convener of Punjab unit of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) is likely to head ‘AAP Punjab’, a new political party which has announced to contest the assembly elections to defeat AAP.
The party is not formed overnight but process of forming the new outfit was going on for the quite some time. It is suspected Chhotepur was already in league with party rebels. Dr. Manjit Singh Randhawa a member of political review committee of AAP would be general secretary of the ‘AAP Punjab’ and Chhotepur will be President. The name of Chhotepur was announced by Dr.Manjit Singh. Chhotepur is expected to tender his resignation before he is expelled from AAP on the charges of accepting cash and not giving receipt to the donors.
AAP MP Dharamvir Gandhi already suspended from party had last week announced that they have chalked out the details of new political party and it would be announced shortly. With the announcement by Dr.Manjit Singh, the conspiracy against AAP by insiders has started unfolding. It is expected that Gandhi, Harinder Singh Khalsa, Dr.Daljit Singh and few other former and present AAP leaders would join hands together to divide the anti-incumbency votes in Punjab. A senior member of dialogue committee of AAP who is close to Dr.Manjit Singh Randhawa may also change loyality. He had not signed the letter written by 21 AAP leaders seeking expulsion of Chhotepur.
Chhotepur in his press conference on Friday had raised same issues which the SAD president and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and PPCC President Capt Amarinder Singh has been propagating against AAP and its convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Chhotepur has projected Kejriwal anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh. He also raised the issue of sale of tickets in AAP. SAD and Congress have same line of action and their common enemy is Arvind Kejriwal.
