Support for amendment to debar Sehajdharis from SGPC voting top trending on Twitter

Chandigarh : A major Sikh issue being the top trending on Twitter is perhaps something very rare but #SGPC4Sikhs today turned to be the top hit. It is the support for the amendment to the Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925 adopted in the Lok Sabha two days back debarring Sehajdharis from voting in the general house election to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee that has received across the board support making it top trending hashtag in the evening. The basic issue doing the rounds is that “only the Sikhs have the right to elect their representatives to manage SGPC”.
