SYL Canal issue: Punjab CM convenes emergency cabinet meeting, likely to resign

CHANDIGARH : Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has convened an emergency meeting of cabinet to discuss decision of Supreme Court given against Punjab Government’s stand of not sharing water of Beas and Ravi rivers with Haryana. Punjab CM is likely to submit resignation of his cabinet, it is learnt. Badal had already made it clear that his oarty Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) will not accept Supreme Court decision against interests of Punjab. SAD is finding an opportunity in the SC decision to go to people for 2017 assembly elections.
