Thousands of devotees pay obeisance to relics of Sikh Gurus

LUDHIANA: The Dharmik Darshan Yatra today gave its darshan to the residents of industrial town Ludhiana. Starting at around 10 am from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Model Town the yatra passed through different areas of city. Carrying relics to the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s land at village Alamgir, the yatra will halt at Gurudwara Alamgir Sahib tonight.Starting from Gurudwara Sri Singh Sabha after ardas the yatra saw enthusiastic participation of the people from nearby villages too. A large number of devotees have reached Gurudwara Sri Singh Sabha. The SGPC president Jathedar Avtar Singh makkar, former cabinet minister Hira Singh Gabria, DC Mr Rajat Aggarwal, ADC Mr Ajay Sood and other officers too paid obeisance.Under the advisor to CM Mr Maheshinder Singh Grewal, SAD (urban) president Harbhajan Singh Dang, Mr Preetam Singh Bharowal, Rajinder Bhatia and other dignitaries, thousands of people paid obeisance. The yatra had reached Gurudwara Sri Singh Sabha with Khalsa jaho Jalal at 2 am and was accorded a warm welcome. For hours together, during yatra, kirtan was performed and Gurbani was recited. Special langars have been put up enroute the yatra. All the markets were decorated like fairs.
The devotees are enthusiastic to have darshan of the rare relics of Guru Sahiban pit on display. Around a dozen halt stations were put up for yatra. The police and civil administration had made elaborate arrangements to ensure the law and order during yatra. A large number of cops conducted their duty dedicatedly.
