Top leaders to meet in New Delhi today in IAFS

New Delhi, Oct. 29 : Representatives of 54 African nations including Heads of State and government representatives of around 40 countries and African Union are expected to take part in the third India-Africa Forum Summit ( IAFS) which is to begin here today.Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier held bilateral talks with heads of several African nations.He held talks with President of Benin Dr Boni Yayi, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe, President of Ghana John Mahama, Swaziland King Mswati III and Presidents of Uganda, Guinea, Djibouti and Prime Minister of Lesotho.During the talks, issues like UN reforms, combating the challenge of terrorism and boosting trade and investment, particularly in oil and gas sector were figured prominently.Growing bilateral trade came up for discussion between Prime Minister Modi and African leaders.
