Van Gaal lauds Rashford after Man Utd sealed FA Cup semis berth

Johannesburg : Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has heaped praise on teenage striker Marcus Rashford, whose wonder-goal helped the Old Trafford club to progress through to the semifinals of the FA Cup.United relied on Rashford and Marouane Fellaini as they defeated West Ham 2-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinal clash and will next face Everton in the semis at Wembley on April 23.Earlier, West Ham had pushed United close at Old Trafford in the 1-1 draw when the teams first met.
A visibly relieved van Gaal said that Rashford had been very focussed on his work, insisting that the teenager could cope with criticism and attention while scoring important goals for his team, the Mirror reported.The pressure on van Gaal mounted following a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
