Watson brands Clarke’s criticism of Buchanan ‘incredibly harsh’

Melbourne : Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has come out in defense of John Buchanan by describing Michael Clarke’s criticism of the former coach as ‘ incredibly harsh’.
Former Australian captain Clarke had launched a blistering tirade against his coach and team mates Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden in his new book ‘2015 Ashes Diary’.
He claimed that Buchanan had no impact on the team, stating that “even my dog Jerry could have coached” that Australian side to world domination.Reflecting on Clarke’s remarks, Watson said that Buchanan had an incredible task of keeping strong personalities and strong egos under control that were in the team, and insisted that he kept them all moving in the same direction, News.com.au reported.Clarke scored 8,643 runs in 115 Tests and retired from international cricket after the fifth and final Ashes Test against England at The Oval.
