Watson eager to represent Australia in ODIs, T20 WC

London : Three months after putting away his Baggy Green, Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has said that he is still eager to play for the national side in the shorter formats of the game and is looking forward to the World Twenty20 to be held in India next year.Watson, who retired from Test cricket following his side’s Ashes series defeat against England, said that he has had success in the shortest format of the game.The 34-year-old said that he wanted to return to his previous form, adding that he could make a significant contribution to his team,the Guardian reports.Watson, who averaged just 10 runs for his team Sydney Thunder in the opening match of the Big Bash League ( BBL), believes that he was just one innings away from being able to contribute well with the bat.Watson appeared in 59 Tests since his debut in 2005 against Pakistan, scoring 3731 runs at an average of 35.19.His highest runs of 176 came against England in 2013.
