Since 2018 to March – 2022, series of House Breaking offences occurred in the limits of Cyberabad and other areas of Telangana. On the instructions of the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Shri Stephen Raveendra, IPS., DCP, Crimes Shri Shingenavar Kalmeshwar,IPS., formed a special team headed by Sri. V. SyamBabu ACP – CCS, CCS Balanagar, Balanagar Zone L&O Police under the supervision of Sri. G. Narasimha Reddy, Addl. DCP, CCS, Cyberabad.

The Special teams collected the clues (CCTV footages, MO, Chance Prints & Technical Information) and visited all the Scene of Offences and analysed the information collected by them and came to conclusion that the gangs committing offences in Cyberabad and Telangana State are from Dhar District, Madhya Pradesh.

These Criminals formed a gang with 11 members and visited Telangana 21 different times from 2018 to March – 2022 in different combinations along with House Breaking implements i.e., Heavy Cutters, Rods, Screw Drivers and committed several offences in Telangana and other states.

The Special Teams visited several times to Dhar District, MP, cultivated the informants in their area, narrow down the gangs and also identified the gang members with the help of local Police and arrested 4 main Gang members.

MODUS OPERANDI :

The Gang hails from remote areas of Madhya Pradesh state. They choose property theft as their profession because they have no such source of money to meet their lavish expenses. In order to keep away suspicion against them, they choose Hyderabad and its suburbs as their target area for property crime. So, the gang started coming to a different place in Telangana State through public transport i.e., Bus from their hometown via Indore and Nanded with the intention to burgle locked houses. They bring three to five of their other associates from their locality to assist them in the offences. Once they reach the suburbs of Hyderabad, they choose and target a locality after which they spend the day in an open place near to the chosen locality and consume alcohol till late at night. Later, they arm themselves with rods, sticks, and stones in order to attack the civilians if they are confronted. They also carry a spanner, strong screwdriver and a long and powerful iron cutter with them. They wake up late in the night and set out to committhe crime. They visit the locked houses which they chose during their search during the day hours and gain entry into the house by breaking open the main door latch and committing theft of gold and silver jewellery, net cash and other valuables and decamp with the stolen booty. In one night, they target multiple houses and burgle them. Every time they come down from their hometown, they commit several thefts in different localities. They are also habituated to the practice of committing thefts of motor bikes for an easy escape after the offences and abandoning them in isolated places. The accused go back to their hometown with the booty after which they dispose of the property through their other associate in their hometown and share the stolen property sale proceeds amongst themselves. The accused persons retain lion share of the booty and give a meagre sum in cash to their associates for their contribution.
