Committee Formed to Address Key Demands, Including Filling Vacant Posts through Promotion, Creation of New Posts and Merger of Field and Headquarters Seniority Lists
Chandigarh, September 9 (Special Correspondent): A meeting of the Ministerial Staff Association of the Punjab Medical Education and Research Department was recently held with Principal Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, IAS Shri Kumar Rahul, to discuss the long-pending demands of the ministerial staff. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on several important issues, including filling vacant posts through promotion to the posts of Superintendent, Senior Assistant and Junior Assistant; creation of new clerical posts in the department; and merging the seniority lists of employees working at the field offices and headquarters. A committee has been constituted to examine these demands and other related issues.Two representatives of the Clerical Association have also been included in the committee. Chairman Jagdish Thakur, President Tejinder Singh Dhillon, Satwinder Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Rohit Kumar and staff members of the DRME office, among others, were present during the meeting.
