Showcasing the best in Show as gates prepare to open

Get ready Showgoers to find your happy place at the Sydney Royal Easter Show (the Show), with gates set to open tomorrow after countless hours of hard work from exhibitors, staff, and volunteers.

General Manager of Agriculture and Sydney Royal Easter Show, Murray Wilton, said the 2023 Easter Show is a celebration of everything we know and love about the Show and rural Australia: farmers, food, and good old-fashioned family fun.

“Rich in fun and family traditions – we’re thrilled to be putting on an event that has so much for Showgoers to see and do, with all the old classics and some new favourites in the mix,” Mr Wilton said.

“The Show is the best value day out in Sydney, promising to deliver 12 hours of entertainment, competitions, exhibits and more every day.

“Join us at the 2023 Show to make new memories and find your happy place!”

For all creatures big and small, the Show is home to some of the most prestigious and prominent competitions in Australia. Famous for its wide range of exhibitors from across the country, the Show brings the country to the city and showcases the best Australian agriculture has to offer.

“This year, we’re excited to introduce our new Woolworths Ag Discovery Pavilion, displaying the latest technology innovations. The RAS Native Animal Display is another new attraction, enabling Showgoers to come face to face with some of Australia’s iconic native animals,” Mr Wilton said.

“The main arena night-time entertainment will play host to unseen elements that are guaranteed to thrill. From the ‘Thunder of a Thousand Hooves’ production which will see 25 stockmen, 40 loose horses, and 30 donkeys make their way around the arena, to the spectacular drone display, the iconic firework finale, and more.

“A day out at the Show has so much to offer for the whole family and we warmly invite you to come and join in the fun.

“Tickets will once again be sold almost exclusively online and are strictly limited, so get online, buy your tickets, and plan your day – there are great savings to be made at the Easter Show website.

“The Show is excited to have the easy-to-use Carnival Fun Pass back in 2023. The card allows people to tap and play through every carnival ride and game at the Show and avoid the queue. There are great savings to be made by preloading your Carnival Fun Pass early via the new Easter Show Fun Pass app.

Don’t miss out! Start planning your happiest day out on our new website, at: www.eastershow.com.au.”

Public transportation will again be integrated in the price of tickets this year.

The Show runs from 6-17 April 2023. Visit www.eastershow.com.au for more information.
