Top Global Leaders to Gather in New Delhi for India–AI Impact Summit 2026
New Delhi, Feb 13 — Several prominent world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, are set to attend the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from February 16–20, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
The summit will be guided by three core ‘Sutras’ — People, Planet and Progress — reflecting India’s vision for responsible and inclusive global cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The high-level gathering will bring together global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and subject-matter experts to deliberate on the future direction of AI and its transformative impact across sectors.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several other heads of state and government will also participate. These include Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam.
Other distinguished attendees include Spain’s President Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejon, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Croatia’s Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Estonia’s President Alar Karis, Finland’s Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Liechtenstein’s Hereditary Prince Alois, Slovakia’s President Peter Pellegrini, and Switzerland’s President Guy Parmelin.
Vice Presidents attending the summit include Bolivia’s Edmand Lara Montano, Guyana’s Bharrat Jagdeo, Serbia’s Aleksandar Vucic, and Seychelles’ Sebastien Pillay.
Ministerial delegations from over 45 countries are expected to participate, alongside the UN Secretary-General and senior representatives from various international organisations.
President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in India on February 17 for an official visit. During his stay, he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to hold discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation under the Horizon 2047 Roadmap. President Macron will take part in the AI Impact Summit on February 19.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will undertake a State Visit to India from February 18 to 22 and will participate in the second edition of the AI Impact Summit from February 19–20.
The India–AI Impact Summit 2026 is expected to serve as a major global platform for shaping collaborative frameworks and advancing responsible AI development worldwide.
